The series contains First Nation Elder Interviews created and preserved Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council - Treaty Aboriginal Rights Research (LSLIRC-TARR) Program in the 1990s and relate to Treaty 8. The series consists of Elder Interviews conducted by Billy Joe Laboucan and Gilbert N. Capot-Blanc. Elder Interviews were conducted in the communities of Kapawe’no, Slave Lake, Driftpile, Sturgeon, Duncan’s, Sucker Creek, Swan River, Horse Lake, Woodland Cree, Tall Cree, Whitefish Lake, and Bigstone.
